• Body and Bonnet: Cast from GGG50 ductile iron, providing better mechanical impact resistance and anti-cracking properties than gray cast iron. The inner and outer surfaces are coated with Epoxy resin to prevent electrochemical corrosion in underground environments or high-humidity conditions.

• Valve Stem: Made of Grade 420 Stainless Steel with high surface hardness, capable of withstanding large torsional forces without warping, and reducing thread wear during continuous open/close operations. The control thread section is located outside the valve body, making it easy to grease for maintenance and minimizing rust or thread jamming during operation.

• Valve Disc (Wedge): GGG50 ductile iron core fully encapsulated in EPDM rubber. The resilient rubber encapsulation design ensures Class A sealing performance (ISO 5208) and prevents jamming when small debris enters.

• Sealing Gasket & Bolts: Heat-resistant EPDM gasket; Body-bonnet connecting bolts use Grade 8.8 carbon steel.

• No Dead Space: Because the valve stem rises high when opening, clear space must be left above the handwheel equal to at least 1.5 x DN to avoid scraping against floor soffits, plaster ceilings, or cable trays.

• Optimal Installation Direction: Vertical installation with the stem perpendicular to the ground is preferred. If horizontal installation is mandatory, a valve assembly support stand must be provided for sizes DN150 and above to prevent pipe sagging and flange eccentricity.

• Rising Stem Maintenance: The Stainless Steel 420 threaded stem exposed to the environment easily attracts dirt and construction sand. A periodic lubrication schedule of once every 6 months is necessary for smooth handwheel operation and to prevent thread scratching.

• Bolt Tightening: Tighten diagonally and symmetrically according to standard torque for PN10/16 flanges to avoid flange warping that could tear the rubber gasket.
